Please note that the Hut Restaurant Kataja is currently closed, and it will re-open again later this year. 

The restaurant follows the same design as the igloos. The large windows give you a great opportunity to admire the surrounding nature and its wildlife, and the fireplace keeps you warm. ‘Kataja’ means ‘juniper’ so the name was carefully chosen to reflect on our love for the nature. The regularly changing menu uses mainly the local ingredients, and the food gives you an excellent opportunity to taste the true Lappish flavours. We serve a 3-course meal, and you can choose a collection of recommended wines and arctic cocktails to go with your dinner. During the festive period, we serve a 5-course dinner to make those days that little bit more magical.

Dinners are served for the guests of the igloo village as well as other visitors and larger groups. If you are interested in dining at the restaurant, please make sure you book your place at least 3 days in advance. The restaurant can also be booked for private events.
