Hidden in the calm embrace of Lapland’s nature, Restaurant Kataja invites you to slow down and savour every detail of the north.
Step inside and feel the warmth of wood, the glow of soft light, and the scent of the forest carried on the air.
Here, flavours of the Arctic meet timeless Nordic elegance — a culinary journey inspired by local ingredients, wild landscapes, and the rhythm of the seasons.
Each dish tells a story of Lapland’s purity and spirit: berries gathered under the midnight sun, mushrooms from deep forests, and fish from crystal-clear waters. Our kitchen transforms these gifts of nature into food that warms the heart and awakens the senses — and we proudly use halal meat in our dishes to ensure an inclusive and authentic dining experience for all guests.
Whether you come for an intimate dinner, a quiet escape, or to share a moment with loved ones, Kataja welcomes you to a table where time stands still and nature feels close.
We are a reservation-based restaurant, and therefore recommend booking well in advance, as we have a limited number of tables.
Our dinner seatings are held from 17:00–18:30 and 19:00–20:30, with a minimum of 4 persons per reservation. Please note that we reserve the right to combine groups for dinner service.
When making your inquiry, kindly inform us of any food allergies or special dietary requirements.
All dinner inquiries and bookings can be made by email at reception@magicalpond.com
